Predictions and assessment of potential noise and vibration impact Noise and vibration impact are major environmental noise concern for the new Klang Valley MRT Sg. Buloh Kajang Line. The Project Owners MRTCo and the Project Delivery Partner (MMC Gamuda KVMRT JV) were particular mindful of this.

The Institute was the Noise & Vibration Specialist, being a key member of the Detailed EIA study team, that undertook predictions and assessment of potential noise & vibration impact for the entire MRT line.

3‐D noise modeling was undertaken for the entire rail corridor which helped identify noise sensitive areas, and offered feedback to the scheme design in progress for alignment planning.

The Institute also undertook comprehensive baseline measurements to establish the existing noise & vibration climate. We were also involved in the numerous public dialogues and engagement that were organised in view of the immense public interest to this project of national importance.
