A world class Film and TV Studios are being built in Malaysia to be operated under the Pinewood Studios branding (renowned for James Bond movies) in Medini. Iskandar Johor.

This Pinewood Iskandar Studio have very stringent acoustics design requirements to be built under a very tight time schedule. There are 2 ultra large Film Studios and 5 large TV Studios in this Project. The Institute was the Acoustics Consultant appointed by Sunway Construction Bhd to develop and oversee construction solutions complying with the acoustics requirements of the Studios. This included the use of pre‐cast concrete beams and walls that are vibration isolated. Such large scale vibration floating floors and walls are the region’s largest.
We were involved in the acoustics design and construction submissions with on‐site supervision during the entire construction process. We also undertook comprehensive acoustics testing during constructions and handover.
